“Wren in Winter” shows the small but spirited bird often known as Jenny Wren, perched among ivy and rosehips — plants that bring colour and sustenance to the colder months.
 
Despite its size, the wren carries a remarkable presence in the landscape, a quiet resilience that feels especially poignant in winter.
 
This print forms part of my Four Seasons series, observing the subtle rhythms of birdlife as the year turns.
 
Each print is hand-carved and printed using environmentally friendly, water-based inks on soft Somerset ivory paper. Gentle variations in pressure and ink ensure that every impression is slightly unique.
