Wortham Oak
Original Drypoint Engraving
This blasted oak, its branches reaching outward like stag antlers, stands along Swamp Lane in Wortham. I first noticed it while driving past and felt compelled to return — drawn by its sculptural presence and quiet resilience.
After spending several afternoons sketching beneath its branches, the drawing gradually evolved into this drypoint engraving.
This engraving forms part of an ongoing study of trees observed in the Norfolk landscape.
This original drypoint is printed in black ink on Fabriano Rosaspina 300gsm paper.
The edition is limited to 30 prints. Each impression is signed and numbered, and subtle variations in the inking process ensure every print retains the character of a hand-pulled work.
Paper size: approximately 29cm × 21cm
Plate size: 17.5cm × 12.5cm
Your print will be carefully wrapped, supported with sturdy board, and posted flat to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
