Original Drypoint Engraving
 
The wood mouse is a secretive presence in gardens and hedgerows, rarely seen unless one is very still. This drypoint etching was inspired by an unexpected visitor who discovered my boiler cupboard — and, more importantly, my sack of bird food.
 
After several industrious nights helping himself, I was able to capture him safely and release him back into the garden, where he belonged. That brief encounter became the starting point for this intimate study.
 
This original drypoint etching is printed in water-based ink on soft, heavyweight Somerset paper.
 
The edition is limited to just 25 prints. Each impression is signed, titled, and numbered, and subtle variations in inking and pressure ensure that every print is unique.

Paper size: approximately 20cm × 19cm
 
Your print will be carefully wrapped in archival tissue and cellophane, supported with board backing, and posted flat between stiff card to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
 
Orders are dispatched from my Norfolk studio within 48 hours via Royal Mail.
