Winter Visitor is a monoprint collage of a fieldfare feeding on the berries of guelder rose (Viburnum opulus), made with hand-painted papers.
 
A winter visitor, the fieldfare arrives as the season turns, drawn to the bright clusters of berries that remain. These brief arrivals mark the colder months, when movement through the landscape becomes more visible, and survival depends on what can still be found.
 
Built through layers of monoprint and collage, the piece holds the contrast between the patterned delicacy of the bird and the vivid weight of the berries.
