White Tailed Bumble Bee
Original Drypoint Engraving
 
The white-tailed bumblebee is one of our largest and most familiar garden visitors, recognised by its two soft yellow bands and bright white tail. This print grew from sketches made during the summer months in my garden, watching these industrious pollinators move steadily from flower to flower.
 
This original drypoint etching is printed on fine Fabriano paper and hand-coloured with watercolour.
 
The edition is limited to 35 prints, plus 5 artist’s proofs. Each impression is signed, titled, and numbered, and subtle variations in the printing process ensure that every bee is unique.
 
Etching size: approximately 21cm × 19cm
Plate size: 6cm
 
Your print will be carefully wrapped in archival tissue and cellophane, supported with sturdy board, and posted flat to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
 
Orders are dispatched from my Norfolk studio within 48 hours via Royal Mail.
