I love Bumble bees and this is one of our largest garden bees, and is distinguished by its two yellow bands and a white tail. This print is taken from sketches made this summer in my garden.
 
This is a drypoint etching, in a limited edition of 35, plus 5 artist's proofs, and is hand-coloured with watercolour. It is printed on quality Fabriano paper.
 
Each print varies slightly due to the printing process and so each bee is unique.
 
Each print is signed, titled and numbered by the artist.
 
The size of the etching is approximately 21 cm by 19 cm. The size of the bee plate is 6 cm.
 
Each print is packed with cellophane and archival tissue and is carefully wrapped and posted flat between sturdy cardboard pieces to protect it.
Only 7 of these prints are remaining.

The print I purchased travelled across the world to reach me, but it was worth the wait. It was perfect and conveyed an entire world in a 5 inch square. I could not be happier - and the artist was wonderful to deal with! She deserves more stars.
