Night Watcher - Tawny Owl 
Limited Edition Linocut
 
This limited edition linocut was inspired by a tawny owl that visited my garden one spring. I was fortunate enough to discover him roosting quietly during the day; he peered down at me, clearly unimpressed at being found, and I retreated as silently as I could.
 
Over the following weeks I returned occasionally to make quick sketches and photographs, on which this print is based. I still hear his distinctive hoot at night and am delighted that he has chosen to remain nearby.
 
Each print is hand carved and hand printed using environmentally friendly, water-based ink on beautiful Fabriano paper. Because of the nature of linocut printing, subtle variations in ink and pressure ensure that every impression is unique.
 
Edition: 50 (plus 5 Artist’s Proofs)
