Singing to the Moon is is monoprint collage of a female blackbird singing in the hedge at dusk, beneath a pale pink moon.
 
Set within the hedge, she is held among branches and growth, part of the enclosing structure of the land.
 
Built through layers of monoprint and collage, the surface carries the textures of hedge and undergrowth, of a moment held at the end of the day.
 
The painting measures 29cm x 35cm and is unframed.

It is painted on 300gsm Saunders Waterford paper and archival glue is used for the collage.
