Robin
Original Drypoint Engraving
Robins are often the first presence in the winter garden - bright, watchful, and unexpectedly bold.
The garden robin is one of Britain’s most beloved birds. This engraving is based on the fiercely territorial male who visits my back step each morning to collect the mealworms I put out for him — a small daily ritual that inspired this study. A photograph of my model is included.
This original drypoint engraving is printed in black intaglio ink on soft Fabriano paper and hand-finished with watercolour.
The edition is limited to just 30 prints. Each is numbered and signed, and no two are exactly alike — subtle variations in the inking and wiping process make every impression unique.
Plate size: 13cm × 11cm
Paper size: approximately 19cm × 18cm
Your print will be carefully wrapped in cellophane and tissue, then securely packed between strong board.
Orders are dispatched from my Norfolk studio within 48 hours and sent First Class, tracked and signed, in the UK and internationally.
All original works are prepared with great care. Prints are signed and sent flat.

“Exquisite etching, beautifully printed and presented. It reminds me of a robin that used to feed from my hand. Well packaged and quickly delivered.”
