Lapwing
Hand Coloured Original Linoprint
When I was a child, the fields seemed full of lapwings, but now seeing even a handful feels like a gift. I love their perky crest, their bottle-green iridescent feathers, and above all their distinctive “peewit” call as they tumble through the spring sky in their exuberant courtship dance.
This print was made in celebration of a bird I have loved for a long time.
This is a limited edition hand-coloured linoprint. Although printed as an edition of 50, each print is individually coloured with watercolour, making every one unique.
Each print is hand printed and pulled using environmentally-friendly, water-based ink on heavyweight Somerset Ivory paper.
Because of the hand-printing and hand-colouring process, each print will vary subtly in colour and tone, ensuring that every piece is one of a kind.
