The Gentle Sentinel — Great Crested Grebe

Earlier this year I discovered a Great Crested Grebe nesting just beyond my garden, beginning her long vigil upon a floating nest.
Day after day I returned to watch and sketch her, careful never to disturb that fragile world of water and reeds. This print grew out of those quiet observations — a portrait of patience, protection, and stillness.
