Garden Quince
This drawing focuses on quince hanging among broad leaves, its rounded form emerging from the surrounding foliage.
Drawn with a dip pen and Indian ink, the lines move freely across the page while washes of ink create the shifting tones of leaf and shadow. Soft pastel has been added to the fruit, allowing the warm colour of the quince to emerge quietly from the monochrome ink drawing.
Printed as a high-quality giclée reproduction from the original drawing, signed by the artists, the print preserves the expressive pen line and tonal ink washes of the original work.
This is one of a series of observational studies inspired by the abundance of late autumn in the garden and hedgerow.
This is a giclée print on Hahnemuhle 308gsm cotton Matt Fine Art Paper.
The print measures 21cm x 14cm and is printed on A4 paper.
