Cuckoo
Original Linocut
Each spring I listen for the first call of the cuckoo at Redgrave and Lopham Fen, my local Wildlife Trust reserve. Its unmistakable voice is one of the true markers of the changing season.
This print was created in celebration of that remarkable migratory bird — travelling each year from Africa — whose mysterious life cycle has fascinated generations of naturalists.
Hand carved and printed using traditional linocut techniques, each impression carries the subtle variations that make original printmaking so enduringly appealing.
