Blackbird in the Ivy

This limited edition linoprint was inspired by watching blackbirds feeding on ivy berries during the winter months. Ivy provides an important source of food at a time when little else is available, and I was particularly pleased to notice blackbirds later nesting in the same ivy-covered wall beside my house.
 
The print captures a moment of quiet abundance — the bird half-hidden among leaves and berries, absorbed in the small business of survival.
 
Each print is hand-carved and printed using environmentally friendly, water-based inks on soft Fabriano ivory paper. Subtle variations in pressure and ink ensure that every impression is slightly unique.
 
Edition: 50 (plus 5 Artist’s Proofs)

Your print will be carefully packaged with archival materials, backed with board and posted flat from my Norfolk studio.
