Behold — Angel

Original Linoprint

Inspired by one of the carved wooden angels that gaze down from the roof of St Agnes Church in Cawston, North Norfolk, this linoprint draws on the quiet drama of medieval craftsmanship. Many of these angels wear feathered suits once associated with actors in medieval pageants. Though their painted surfaces have softened with time, their presence remains magnificent and deeply moving.

This limited-edition linoprint is hand carved and printed in my Norfolk studio using traditional techniques. Each impression carries the subtle variations that make original printmaking so distinctive.

Available in black, bronze metallic, or gold ink on black Somerset paper — please indicate your preferred version when ordering.

  • Limited edition of 50 (plus 5 Artist’s Proofs)

  • Hand carved and hand printed

  • Each print varies slightly — a natural result of the hand-printing process
