This print is inspired by one of the wooden angels that look down from the roof of St Agnes Church, in Cawston, in North Norfolk. They are magnificent, imposing figures, many of them wearing feathered suits, which actors often wore in Medieval pageants. Originally brightly painted, they now are faded, but they are still an extraordinary sight. 
 
The angel is available in either black or bronze metallic ink, or gold ink on black Somerset paper. Please state which you would prefer when ordering.
 
This is a limited edition linocut print.
 
Each print is hand carved, hand printed and unique. Due to the nature of linocuts, each will vary slightly according the pressure, amount of ink and paper. 
 
Limited edition of 50 (plus 5 Artist's Proofs).
 
Each print is signed, titled and numbered by the artist.
 
Each print is packed with cellophane and archival tissue, has a board backing, is carefully wrapped and posted flat in a stiff cardboard envelope.
