Held by Winter Branches is a mixed-media monoprint with hand painted collage, depicting a male and female blackbird sheltering among bare winter branches threaded with the last of the autumn rosehips. Layered printed textures and collaged forms evoke bark, stem, and fading leaf, creating a dense, protective structure around the birds. The paired figures suggest companionship and endurance as they prepare for the cold days to come.

It is painted on 300gsm Saunders Waterford paper and archival glue is used for the collage.
 
The painting measures 38cm x 28cm.
