This is a tiny painting of the Blackbird's egg, which I found in my garden last Spring. It must have been tossed from the nest and was perfectly intact. I decided to paint this fragile thing as it was so perfect.
 
It is painted in traditional oils on gessoed board.
 
It measures 9.5cm x 9.5cm.
 
It is unframed.
